Alumni Newsletter – March 2019

Grayson Beck (’14) graduated from Southwestern University in 2018 with a degree in business. He is a sales development representative for Khoros.com which is a social media management software company that makes it easy for marketing and support teams to deliver their best customer experiences and messages.

Deborah Bailey Gross (‘00) holds a marketing degree from Sam Houston State University and is the Vice President of Business Development at Prism Renderings. Her spouse, Jon, is a Director for Morae Global. Deborah is thankful for her family: husband Jon, stepson Jack (18) and daughter Charli (2). They attend Woodlands Church.

Sabrina Tovar Metcalf (‘15) married Paxton Metcalf on March 9, 2019, in Pensacola, FL. They met at Chi Alpha Campus Ministry at The University of Alabama. This May, they will both graduate from UofA – Sabrina with a degree in public health and Spanish and Paxton with a degree in civil engineering. Paxton and Sabrina attend Tuscaloosa First Assembly of God Church, and are leaders with Chi Alpha Campus Ministry. They will be working full-time with Chi Alpha after graduation as Campus Missionaries in Training at the University of Alabama. Photo by: Elizabeth Arynne

Cameron Tipton (‘12) graduated from West Texas A&M University in 2016 with a B.S. in psychology and minor in English. He was active on campus and served as the president and board member of the WT Wesley Foundation, an on-campus college ministry that hosted weekly outreach programs and campus-wide small groups. Cameron was also involved in student government and was appointed Chief Justice two consecutive terms. He oversaw campus disciplinary committees, ran elections and managed a staff of associate justices. Shortly after graduating from college, Cameron founded an aviation company in Houston called Flight Level Partners with a college friend. Flight Level Partners provides private aircraft acquisition and appraisal services to litigators, lending institutions and aircraft owners. Cameron oversees all aircraft transactions in addition to the daily operation of the firm. In 2018, he became an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) with the American Society of Appraisers in the aircraft specialty and will soon have an Appraisal Review designation in the same organization. Cameron attends Bayou City Fellowship (Spring Branch Campus) and is involved in a community group in Garden Oaks.

The campus will reopen on Monday, July 15.

Power has been restored, and the campus will reopen on Monday, July 15, with regular summer hours and activities.
