CCS Varsity Volleyball Advances to TAPPS State Final Four

The Cypress Christian School varsity volleyball team is headed back to the TAPPS State Final Four after another outstanding season that included a second consecutive undefeated district championship and an impressive postseason run.

The Lady Warriors finished district play undefeated for the second straight year, accomplishing the remarkable feat of not dropping a single set in district competition. With a 30-5 overall record entering the postseason, CCS established itself as one of the top teams in TAPPS volleyball, demonstrating consistency, determination and teamwork throughout the season.

Building on their district championship, the Lady Warriors opened the TAPPS State Playoffs with a sweep of The Woodlands Christian Academy in the Area Round. The team delivered a strong performance, combining offensive firepower and defensive determination to secure the victory.

Senior Sarah Troxel led the Warriors with 11 kills and 17 digs, while senior Connie Quaglia added 10 kills and three service aces. Senior setter Bella Thomas directed the offense with 24 assists, helping keep the Warriors’ attack moving throughout the match.

The Lady Warriors continued their postseason success on October 29, defeating San Antonio Christian in a thrilling five-set Regional Round match to secure their place in the TAPPS State Final Four for the second consecutive year.

The Warriors will travel to Waco on November 6 for the TAPPS State Volleyball Tournament, where they will compete for an opportunity to advance to the state championship match.

From back-to-back undefeated district championships to consecutive State Final Four appearances, the Lady Warriors have demonstrated a commitment to excellence, teamwork and perseverance. Their success reflects the dedication of the players and coaches, who have continued to build a strong volleyball program at Cypress Christian School.

Congratulations to our varsity volleyball team and coaches on another remarkable season! We look forward to cheering on the Lady Warriors as they compete for a state championship.
