Few traditions capture the heart of Cypress Christian School quite like the Senior & Kindergarten Walk. On May 21, 2026, the Class of 2026 celebrated this beloved tradition by walking the halls of campus one final time, hand in hand with their kindergarten buddies as both groups proudly wore their caps and gowns.
This year’s celebration carried special significance as it marked the first Senior & Kindergarten Walk held on the new Bridgeland campus. The moment beautifully symbolized the journey of every Warrior—from the excitement of beginning school as a kindergartener to crossing the graduation stage as a senior prepared for the next chapter God has planned.
As seniors and kindergarten students processed through the campus together, families, faculty, staff and fellow students lined the hallways to cheer them on. The tradition serves as a powerful reminder of the lasting relationships formed throughout a student’s journey at Cypress Christian School and the school’s commitment to walking alongside students every step of the way.
A Final Chapel Filled with Worship and Reflection
The day also included the Class of 2026’s final chapel, a meaningful time of worship, reflection and encouragement before graduation.
Student-led worship set the tone for the service before seniors Lilah Johnson and Zak Wright shared heartfelt messages with their classmates and the high school student body. Speaking with gratitude, humility and unwavering faith, they reflected on God’s faithfulness throughout their time at Cypress Christian School while encouraging fellow students to remain grounded in Christ as they pursue His calling.
Their words served as a fitting conclusion to a class that has faithfully led through service, worship and Christ-centered leadership.
“The Senior & Kindergarten Walk is one of the most meaningful traditions at Cypress Christian School because it reminds us that every student’s journey matters,” said Dr. Jeff Potts, Head of School. “Seeing our seniors walk alongside their kindergarten buddies is a beautiful picture of the legacy they leave behind and the next generation they are inspiring. We are incredibly proud of the Class of 2026 and excited to see how God will use them in the years ahead.”
As the Class of 2026 prepares to graduate, the Cypress Christian School community celebrates not only their academic accomplishments but also the faith, character and leadership they have demonstrated throughout their years on campus.
Congratulations, Class of 2026. Thank you for the example you have set, the lives you have impacted and the legacy you leave behind. We pray God’s richest blessings over each of you as you begin the next chapter of your journey.
