As the Class of 2026 prepared to graduate from Cypress Christian School, students in Mr. Lubega Frankio’s Faith, Logic & Reason Bible class completed a meaningful Capstone Project that challenged them to reflect on their faith, evaluate the world through a biblical lens and prayerfully consider the next chapter of their lives.
The project served as a culmination of each student’s high school experience, encouraging seniors to thoughtfully connect the lessons they have learned in the classroom with the personal faith God has been developing throughout their lives.
Evaluating the World Through a Biblical Worldview
The first portion of the Capstone Project invited students to critically analyze a book or film by identifying the worldview it presented. Drawing from the principles they studied throughout the year, students evaluated themes, values and cultural messages through the truth of Scripture.
This exercise reinforced one of the core goals of Christian education at Cypress Christian School: preparing students to thoughtfully engage culture while remaining firmly rooted in God’s Word.
Reflecting on God’s Faithfulness
Students then turned their attention inward, reflecting on the experiences that shaped their high school journey.
Each senior identified significant moments that influenced their life as well as the teachers, coaches, family members and mentors who helped shape their character, strengthen their faith and encourage their personal growth.
For many students, this portion of the project became a powerful reminder of God’s faithfulness throughout their years at Cypress Christian School and the many relationships He used to prepare them for the future.
Looking Forward with Purpose
The final section challenged students to consider what comes next.
Seniors reflected on their college plans, their commitment to becoming active members of a local church and the kind of men and women they hope to become over the next decade. Rather than simply planning careers or personal goals, students were encouraged to consider how God might use their gifts, talents and calling to make an eternal impact.
After completing their written reflections, each student shared their story through a creative presentation, giving classmates the opportunity to celebrate God’s work in one another’s lives while looking ahead with hope and expectation.
“One of the greatest goals of Christian education is helping students recognize that God has been faithfully working throughout their lives and preparing them for His purposes,” said Mr. Lubega Frankio. “This project gives seniors the opportunity to reflect on where they have been, celebrate God’s faithfulness and step confidently into the future knowing He will continue to guide them.”
At Cypress Christian School, education extends beyond academic preparation. Students are challenged to develop a biblical worldview, deepen their relationship with Christ and discover how God is calling them to influence the world for His glory.
The Class of 2026 approached this Capstone Project with honesty, maturity and thoughtful reflection, demonstrating the spiritual growth that has taken place throughout their years at Cypress Christian School. As they begin the next chapter of life, they do so equipped not only with academic knowledge but with a strong foundation of faith that will continue to guide them wherever God leads.
