One of the greatest blessings of Cypress Christian School’s new campus is the space it provides for students to learn, play and build meaningful friendships. Every day, the playground serves as more than just a place for recess—it is where students develop relationships, stay active and enjoy the simple joy of being together.
However, rainy weather often created a challenge. Even after the storms had passed, muddy conditions could keep students off the playground for days, limiting opportunities for outdoor play and learning.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of families who participated in Run-4-Fun and faithfully supported the Warrior Fund, that challenge is now becoming an opportunity.
This summer, the playground received a new artificial turf surface designed to improve drainage and allow students to return outdoors much sooner after rainy weather. Instead of waiting for the ground to dry, students will be able to enjoy recess, outdoor classroom activities and time with friends in a cleaner, safer environment.
While the project may appear simple, its impact will be felt every school day. Hundreds of elementary students will benefit from increased access to outdoor play, physical activity and opportunities to strengthen friendships—all important parts of a Christ-centered education that nurtures students academically, physically, socially and spiritually.
This playground improvement is a tangible reminder that every gift to Run-4-Fun and the Warrior Fund directly impacts the lives of Cypress Christian School students. Because of the generosity of our school community, students will spend less time waiting for the playground to dry and more time enjoying the spaces intentionally created for them to learn, grow and thrive.
Every contribution, whether large or small, helps create experiences that shape the daily life of our students. Investments in facilities like this not only improve the campus today but also strengthen the foundation for future generations of Warriors.
