The Cypress Christian School middle school softball team continued its championship tradition by defeating Trinity 4-3to win the 2025-2026 HAPS Middle School Softball Championship, securing an incredible fourth consecutive HAPS title.
The championship game showcased the determination and resilience that defined the Lady Warriors throughout the season. Locked in a 3-3 tie entering the fifth inning, the Warriors remained composed and trusted one another in the biggest moments.
With the game on the line, Jessica Suarez delivered the decisive play, putting the ball in play to third base and driving in the go-ahead run to give Cypress Christian School a 4-3 lead. The Lady Warriors held strong defensively to secure another championship victory and continue one of the most successful runs in program history.
While the game featured several standout moments, the championship was the result of a complete team effort. Every player contributed throughout the season, embracing their role and competing with determination, selflessness and perseverance.
“Championships are built through daily commitment, teamwork and a willingness to put the team before yourself,” said Coach Chase Heller. “This group embodied those qualities all season long, and we’re incredibly proud of the way they competed and represented Cypress Christian School. Winning a fourth consecutive championship is a tremendous accomplishment and a testament to the character of these young ladies.”
The coaching staff was also recognized for their leadership, preparation and commitment to helping each student-athlete grow both on and off the field. Their investment has helped establish a culture of excellence that continues to define the Lady Warriors softball program.
