At Cypress Christian School, athletics are about more than competition—they’re about developing Christ-centered leaders who use their gifts to serve others. On March 21, 2026, the Lady Warrior softball team lived out that mission by spending a Saturday serving together with joyful hearts during a community service project.
Working side by side, the student-athletes demonstrated that being a Warrior extends far beyond the softball field. Through their willingness to serve, encourage one another and give back to the community, they reflected the values that define Cypress Christian School athletics.
The service project provided an opportunity for players to strengthen their relationships while putting their faith into action. By serving together, the team was reminded that true leadership is found not only in athletic achievement but also in humility, compassion and a heart for others.
“One of the greatest joys of coaching is seeing our players grow as servant leaders,” said Dimitric Murph, Head Softball Coach. “Softball teaches discipline and teamwork, but opportunities like this remind our athletes that God has called us to serve others with humility and love. I’m incredibly proud of the way these young women represented Christ and Cypress Christian School.”
Rooted in the theme “Audience of One,” the Lady Warriors embraced the biblical truth found in Colossians 3:23:
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord.”
Whether competing in games, serving the community or encouraging teammates, the Lady Warrior softball program strives to honor God through excellence, character and servant leadership.
The coaches are incredibly proud of these young women for demonstrating what it truly means to be a Warrior. Their willingness to serve reminds us that the greatest victories often happen away from the scoreboard.
