Cypress Christian School Photography Students Earn Honors in ATPI Rising Star Contest

Cypress Christian School’s photography students earned statewide recognition in the Association of Texas Photography Instructors (ATPI) Rising Star Contest, bringing home awards in multiple categories during the school’s first year of competition.

Designed for schools that are building their photography programs, the ATPI Rising Star Contest allows campuses to submit portfolio collections showcasing the work of multiple student photographers. Schools may enter up to four portfolios, each consisting of 10 images representing at least four different student artists.

Competing against schools from across Texas, Cypress Christian School made an impressive debut by earning Third Place in the Nature Portfolio category and an Honorable Mention in the Sports Portfolio category.

The award-winning Nature Portfolio featured photographs by Caden Kreitz, Allie Kate Stovall, Keaon Chalton and graduate Anna Fernandez, whose images captured the beauty and creativity of the natural world.

The school’s Sports Portfolio earned an Honorable Mention and included photographs by Copeland Dennis, Allie Kate Stovall, Logan Oliverson and Ava Benningfield, highlighting the excitement, intensity and emotion of athletic competition.

“Entering the ATPI Rising Star Contest for the first time was an exciting opportunity for our students, and I’m incredibly proud of how they represented Cypress Christian School,” said [Photography Teacher’s Name]. “These awards reflect their creativity, dedication and willingness to continue growing as photographers while using their artistic talents to honor God.”

The outstanding results highlight the continued growth of the Cypress Christian School Fine Arts program and demonstrate the strength of its student photographers.
