CCS Choir Celebrates Outstanding Year with “Decades” Pop Show

The Cypress Christian School Choir closed out an exceptional year of music and ministry with “Decades,” its annual Pop Show, delighting a packed audience at the Lone Star College-Tomball Performing Arts Center.

Featuring favorite songs from the 1960s, ’70s, ’80s and ’90s, the production celebrated generations of music through energetic performances, creative choreography and memorable solo performances. The evening showcased not only the musical talents of the choir but also the creativity and leadership of students, many of whom choreographed the production’s numbers themselves.

Throughout the show, featured soloists brought classic songs to life while senior choir members were recognized with special solo performances, making the evening a meaningful celebration of both the graduating class and another successful year for the CCS Fine Arts program.

More than just a concert, “Decades” served as a joyful conclusion to a year marked by dedication, growth and musical excellence. After months of rehearsals, performances and competitions, the Pop Show gave students the opportunity to celebrate together while sharing their talents with family, friends and the Cypress Christian School community.

Following the performance, choir members gathered for the annual Choir Awards Ceremony, recognizing students for their accomplishments and contributions throughout the year.

The evening concluded with one of the choir program’s most meaningful traditions. Members of the Chamber Choirformed a circle on stage and sang “The Lord Bless You and Keep You,” offering a musical blessing over one another before the summer break. The song concluded with a special prayer for the graduating seniors as they prepare to begin the next chapter of their lives.

“Our goal has always been to help students use their musical gifts to glorify God,” said Mrs. Amber Ward, Director of Choir. “This concert was a wonderful celebration of everything these students accomplished throughout the year. Watching them encourage one another, lead with excellence and worship through music is incredibly rewarding.”

The Pop Show provided a fitting finale to another remarkable season for the Cypress Christian School Choir, which continued its tradition of excellence through outstanding performances, meaningful worship and Christ-centered leadership.

Congratulations to all of the singers, student leaders and directors on an unforgettable year. Warrior Nation is proud of the dedication, talent and heart you bring to every performance.
