Cypress Christian School is excited to introduce the RPG (Role-Playing Game) Club, a new extracurricular opportunity designed to bring students together through collaborative storytelling, creativity and strategic thinking.
Open to students in grades 6–12, the RPG Club meets Wednesdays after school until 5:30 p.m. and welcomes students of all experience levels. Whether participants are seasoned tabletop gamers or completely new to role-playing games, the club provides a fun, supportive environment where everyone can learn and participate.
Sponsored by Mr. Elgie and Mrs. Mellor, the club uses tabletop role-playing games to encourage students to work together as they solve challenges, make decisions and create imaginative stories. Through each adventure, students strengthen valuable life skills such as communication, collaboration, critical thinking and creative problem-solving.
“The RPG Club gives students an opportunity to build friendships while developing skills they’ll use far beyond the game table,” said Mr. Elgie. “Every session encourages teamwork, thoughtful decision-making and creativity as students learn to work together toward common goals in a welcoming and engaging environment.”
The addition of the RPG Club reflects Cypress Christian School’s commitment to providing students with meaningful extracurricular opportunities that complement classroom learning. By participating in clubs and activities that match their interests, students can discover new passions, develop leadership skills and build lasting relationships with their peers.
Students interested in joining are invited to attend and experience the collaborative, imaginative world of tabletop role-playing games. No previous experience is required—just a willingness to learn, contribute and have fun.
