Cypress Christian School sophomores recently took their faith beyond the classroom as Bible classes participated in a campus Prayer Walk, connecting with younger students, faculty and staff through fellowship and prayer.
Throughout the day, students visited different areas of the CCS Bridgeland campus, taking time to encourage others, express gratitude and pray over members of the school community. The experience provided an opportunity for students to put their faith into action while building meaningful relationships across grade levels.
One group of sophomores joined elementary students in prayer circles, sharing what they were thankful for and praying together. Other groups visited coaches, athletic staff, cafeteria employees and classrooms, offering encouragement and lifting up specific prayer requests.
Students also had the opportunity to pray with Coach Klapesky and his third-grade technology class, members of the Elementary Learning Center and Mrs. Ermel’s kindergarten class.
For sophomore Olivia Mei, the experience provided a meaningful opportunity to connect with others.
“The sixth period prayer walk was very impactful for me. I loved getting to ask some of the coaches about their day, praying for them and their families and connecting with them on a deeper level,” Mei shared.
The Prayer Walk reflects Cypress Christian School’s commitment to integrating biblical values into everyday learningand encouraging students to demonstrate their faith through service, encouragement and relationships.
By stepping outside the classroom and intentionally praying for others, these sophomores demonstrated how faith can be lived out through simple but meaningful acts of kindness and compassion.
At CCS, prayer is more than a classroom activity. It is an important part of the school community and a reflection of our mission to honor the Lord Jesus Christ in all that we do.
