Warriors are State Runners-Up!

Congratulations to our Cypress Christian School Warriors boys soccer team for making it to the 2022 TAPPS Division III state championship game! The Warriors played their 14-0 season with grit, never gave up and earned the right to play in the final showdown. On March 8 in Round Rock, TX, the CCS Warriors faced off against a tough team, Colleyville Covenant Christian.

Led by Coach Ade and Coach Dipo, the entire CCS team contributed to a lively match and a hard-fought battle. Forwards, Colin Burns and Alex Andrus led the offensive attack for CCS with Burns scoring a second-half goal. Kevin Dubon and Anthony Shatby distributed the ball from mid-field and both players scored during the back-and-forth match. Cody Andrus, Maxwell Landrum and goalie, Parker Coates helped lead a strong defense in opposition to Colleyville.

Though our team played with determination to the final whistle, unfortunately, the Warriors fell short against the Cougars with a final score of 5-3. We are very proud of everything that our 2022 CCS Warriors team achieved in their outstanding season. They embodied the Warrior spirit…they exemplified One Heart!
