ALUMNI NEWS – NOVEMBER 2019

On Monday, November 11, 2019, CCS was honored to partner with current school families and alumni to recognize the military service of their loved ones. In attendance at the annual Veterans Day Assembly were CCS graduates Robert Geyer ’14 (Marines),  Phil Praesel ’98 (Air Force) and Johnathon Alsobrooks, spouse of Susan Mayes Alsobrooks ’01 (Army). These three veterans along with 15 fellow alumni veterans were recognized in the 2019 Roll of Honor. Read more about this event and other CCS alumni in the November 2019 Alumni Newsletter.

This week in chapel, middle and high school students had the unique opportunity to hear the amazing story of Mr. Al Jowdy. Mr. Jowdy was born in San Antonio in 1927.
The Warrior Swim Team competed in the TAPPS State Swim Meet on Wednesday, February 14, in San Antonio. The Warriors were represented by 16 athletes and competed in four relay events and six individual events.
Cypress Christian School took a total of 41 soloists to competition, middle school and high school combined, 30 of which were first-time soloists at TAPPS Solo and Ensemble. Of these singers, the following students received a I-Superior Rating (highest possible)

Due to widespread power outages and potential safety issues, school is CLOSED, and all activities are CANCELED tomorrow, Friday, May 17.

School will reopen on Monday, May 20. Updates will be sent by text and email, as needed. Please stay safe!
