Washington-on-the-Brazos

On Wednesday, January 12, seventh-grade students had the opportunity to visit Washington-on-the-Brazos, the “Birthplace of Texas.” On their visit, students walked the same trails and paths that the founders of Texas walked. They sat in a replica of Independence Hall where the Texas Declaration of Independence was penned. It was a great opportunity to get a firsthand experience of all they’ve learned this year in their Texas history class. Students also visited the museum of Texas History and Barrington Farms. It was a full day of excitement that was capped off with a quick stop at Bucee’s on the way back to campus.
