God gave each of us unique gifts and abilities and I believe He asks us to use those gifts to further His kingdom. I Corinthians 10:31 says, “Whatever we do, do it all for the glory of God.” This applies to our family life, our school life and our life as a cross country runner. The famous Olympic athlete Eric Liddle said, “I believe God made me for a purpose, but He also made me fast. When I run – I feel His pleasure.”

God gave some of us the amazing opportunity to be runners at Cypress Christian School and when we run to the best of our ability, encourage our team mates and our competition and give God the glory when we are all finished – we are running “for a purpose.”
