Mrs. Galbreath has a bachelor’s degree in Spanish and a minor in French from the University of Texas at Austin. She has 10 years of public school teaching experience and has spent the last 19 years in private education at CCS. She holds a State of Texas Certification in Spanish (6-12) and French (6-12) and has completed Advanced Placement training through Rice University in Spanish Language and Culture. She is passionate about language learning and encourages all of her students to pursue fluency in Spanish as it is a lifelong skill. In addition to languages, she is the yearbook adviser to the Impact yearbook staff. She has attended Jostens Adviser University training, completed Adobe InDesign training, and has a self-taught working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop. Her desire is for the yearbook staff to use their creativity while becoming proficient in 21st century skills such as leadership, ethics, interviews, project management, tracking goals and meeting deadlines to produce a quality printed product using DSLR cameras, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe InDesign. What Mrs. Galbreath enjoys most about the skills-based classes of Spanish and yearbook are the stories that current and former students share about how they are able to apply what they learned to real life such as when they are able to share Christ with a Spanish speaker or simply carry on a conversation, earn a spot on a collegiate journalism publication or place out of courses at college.
