Since leaving Texas in June, he has completed Cadet Basic Training and is almost finished with his first semester as a plebe. In company G3, the Gophers, he competes on the combatives team, and enjoys boxing class. He spends time at the climbing gym with Daniel most weekends. Charlie says, "I'm thankful for all the people at home supporting me. Without their prayers and phone calls, I wouldn't have made it this far already. I miss my friends at CCS." He's excited for the Army-Navy game on December 14, where Army will try to keep the streak alive for a fourth year! Beat Navy!

Taylor Brown (’11) completed an intense program to become a U.S. Navy diver. He is thankful for the strong foundation CCS laid in academics and study skills, and is thankful for his teachers and coaches instilling the love of God, country and duty in him in preparation for his career.

To obtain diver status, he studied hard and graduated from several naval programs including boot camp, dive prep and dive school. The courses involved intense training and testing of physical abilities, water competency, scuba proficiency, underwater welding, dive physics and dive medicine.

He then received ships husbandry orders to San Diego, CA, and was placed on a dive team, where he works on carriers, smaller surface ships and submarines. Taylor says, “I love what I do, and am happy to be serving our country. And, again, I am grateful for the foundational training I received both spiritually and academically at CCS.”
