Warrior alumni came from near and far to enjoy time on the CCS campus at this year's homecoming game. Alumni had a great time visiting with former classmates and teachers, enjoying fall snacks and watching the Warriors beat Brazos Christian.
Each alumnus received a gift card and four former students won an additional prize - a $25 Amazon gift card. Congratulations to Emily Fredrickson Echols ('16), Katherine Echols ('17), Catrina Beaty Hull ('09) and Rachael Lechman ('99).

Alumni Pastors Attend Pastor Appreciation Luncheon
October is Pastor Appreciation Month, and we are grateful for our alumni pastors' service to our community. On October 17, 2019, CCS hosted a Pastor Appreciation Luncheon. Alumni Pastors Cody Chaffin (‘13) and Evan Weppler (‘07) were in attendance among a total of 53 pastors from 32 area churches. Cody is the Student Discipleship Minister at Cy-Fair Christian Church, and Evan is the Elementary Children’s Pastor at Cypress Bible Church.
Cody, Evan and our guest pastors were greeted by the CCS students who invited them, and they enjoyed a short time visiting together. Following a quick photo with students, the pastors were ushered into the East Gym Lobby for a meal and a message from Executive Director Dr. Jeff Potts. It was a privilege to honor these two alumni and their fellow area pastors who have dedicated their lives to the service of the Lord through serving their churches and our community.
We’d like to also like to recognize alumnus Sarah Mathewes (’06) who is the Children's & Christian Education Pastor at Houston First Church of God.
Thank you, pastors, for all you do!
The 2019-2020 Warrior Alumni Homecoming event was held on Friday, October 11, 2019, and had the highest alumni attendance in school history. Former students and their families (105+) braved the cold to “come home to CCS!” We really enjoyed having these special Warriors back on campus – getting to visit with them, getting lots of hugs, meeting their friends and family members, serving them delicious food and awarding gift cards and prizes. Thanks to everyone who attended and thanks to our dedicated volunteers including alumni parent Shannon Moore who took our annual alumni photo. #OnceAWarriorAlwaysAWarrior!
Class of 2019 Summer Yearbook Signing Party
In August, the Class of 2019 gathered on campus for one last time before heading off to college for a Yearbook Signing & College Send-off. The students had a great time writing notes to one another and spending time together. Each graduate in attendance received a fun "College Survival Kit" gift bag. We are excited to see how God fulfills His plan for each of their lives!
Summer Alumni Basketball Games
CCS hosted two nights of basketball fun and fellowship. Coach Martin said, “Our time with our alumni and their families is always very special, and we really enjoy catching up and blessing them with a great experience.” Graduates and their families were greeted by Alumni Relations Coordinator Lynnette Anderson, Coach Marsha Martin and Craig Cleveland and treated to refreshments, a gift card and a night of friendly competition with fellow graduates from ’05 through’19.

2018 - Class of 2008 Gathers for Reunion on CCS Campus
In November 2018, members of the CyChristian Class of 2008 gathered together at CCS to tour the campus, reminisce and enjoy being together once again at their alma mater.
Former classmates and their families enjoyed walking the campus and were pleasantly surprised and excited as they toured the newly constructed buildings and resource areas. The grads commented about how much has changed - especially the addition of the East Gym. They loved the gym with the wooden floor, the amazing trophy case, the Spirit Store, athletic areas, offices and the fun and inviting feel of the building. They also toured the new library in the Secondary A Building, the new portable classrooms, the weight room and the elementary playground.
The best part of the event for the group was walking the familiar halls of the buildings where they attended class. “It was especially fun getting to visit old classrooms and talking about the fun memories we shared,” said Samantha Ridder Finley. “I’m really glad we got together. We see each other regularly, but it’s different getting to spend time on the old stomping grounds.”
Easter 2019: CyChristian reunions can happen anywhere and any time. These beautiful '06 grads (l-r Sarah Shook May, Brittany Metrin Powers and Michelle Anderson Cowan) spent Easter 2019 together at Michelle’s home in Denver, CO, enjoying great fellowship with friends and family along with a fun Easter egg hunt for their children.
