Why CCS?

Partnership

The mission of Cypress Christian is accomplished through a partnership between the school and home. CCS seeks to develop Christ-like character and intellectual competence, helping each student to achieve maximum academic and personal success. Current students and graduates attest to the CCS advantage, a unique combination of strengths creating an academically challenging and nurturing environment.

Biblical Worldview

Education at Cypress Christian School is approached from a biblical perspective that recognizes the sovereignty and authority of God. Carefully selected curriculum academically challenges elementary, middle school and high school students and upholds the Christian standards we seek to develop. Prayer and Bible classes are a very important part of the daily schedule for students.

Award-Winning Programs

CCS offers a well-balanced K-12 education including award winning programs in Academics, Fine Arts, Athletics, and co-curricular opportunities.

Curriculum

Cypress Christian students develop a strong foundation in the core academic curriculum, including reading and writing skills, critical thinking, the ability to apply mathematical concepts, and a broad understanding of the sciences and humanities. A carefully selected curriculum challenges elementary, middle school and high school students and upholds the Christian standards Cypress Christian seeks to develop. The traditional classroom setting at Cypress Christian builds unity among students.

Curriculum is designed to increase college-readiness by providing the academic background needed to succeed in a degree program at a college or university. Students consistently score above the national averages in both the SAT and ACT by the end of their senior year and are deemed college ready by the State of Texas admissions policies.

CCS english and history programs focus on an intensive study of the great writings, people, events, works and ideas that have impacted civilization. Coordination of curriculum among departments is stressed, providing the student with reinforcement of their studies. Science and math offer advanced track beginning with the freshman year. Honors level courses, as well as dual credit and AP classes are available.

They are committed Christians, who realize God created each child with unique strengths and abilities. Teachers understand that learning takes place in a variety of ways. They have a desire to kindle and nourish a love for learning in their students by helping them find new ways to discover their God-given talents and potential in Christ.
