Kelsey Kolkhorst

Mrs. Kelsey Kolkhorst serves as a third-grade reading and history teacher at Cypress Christian School. She earned a Bachelor of Science in human ecology, with a focus on early childhood education and special education, from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where she was also a Division I volleyball player.

Before joining CCS, Mrs. Kolkhorst spent six years in the classroom and later served as a preschool ministry coordinator at Houston’s First Baptist Church – Cypress. She holds certifications in early childhood education, special education and English as a second language.

Mrs. Kolkhorst and her husband, Todd, have four children. Outside of school, she enjoys cheering on her children at sporting events, reading and tackling DIY projects. She is grateful for the opportunity to use her passion for teaching as a ministry while helping students grow academically and spiritually.
