Alicia Griffiths

Learning Center Director, NILD Discovery/Educational Therapist
OVERVIEW

Mrs. Alicia Griffiths serves as the Learning Center Director and a Professional Certified Educational Therapist at Cypress Christian School. She works with students with learning differences to help them overcome educational challenges and develop the skills needed to achieve greater academic independence. Mrs. Griffiths has extensive experience providing National Institute for Learning Development (NILD) educational therapy to students from preschool through high school.

Mrs. Griffiths began her work in educational therapy at Orlando Christian Preparatory School before moving to Texas and later joining CCS. She is trained in Search and TEACH and RX Discovery Math, which provides targeted support in areas including number sense, math fluency, math vocabulary and problem-solving strategies. She is also an FIE Cognitive Mediator and holds professional certification in dyslexia.

Mrs. Griffiths earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from DeVry University, a Master of Business Administration from Keller Graduate School of Management and a Master of Education in exceptional student education from Southeastern University. She is a Professional Certified Educational Therapist and has completed extensive training focused on supporting students with learning differences.

Mrs. Griffiths is passionate about building personal and spiritual relationships with students and believes every learner has a desire to succeed academically. She works closely with students, families and teachers to identify challenges, build confidence and help students reach greater levels of academic achievement.

Outside of school, Mrs. Griffiths enjoys spending time with her husband, children and dogs, supporting her family’s athletic activities and being involved in her church and Bible study group. Her favorite Scripture is Isaiah 41:10, which reminds her of God’s presence, strength and faithfulness.
