CCS State Championships Recognized by the Texas House of Representatives

In the 2017-2018 school year, the boys athletic teams at CCS had an unprecedented accomplishment of earning three TAPPS state championships. This accomplishment was honored on Wednesday, February 13 on the floor of the Texas House of Representatives by CCS parent and State Representative, Dr. Tom Oliverson.

MS Boys Soccer

The CCS middle school boys soccer team concluded an excellent season on Thursday, January 24 by winning the District Championship title.

MS Boys Basketball B Team

The 2018-2019 B team boys basketball season ended with a fourth-place regular season finish and a trip to the WAPS Conference Tournament.

TAPPS State Swim Meet

The Warriors took 10 swimmers to the TAPPS State Swim Meet in Mansfield, TX today. Junior, Elliott Jones became a state champion in both the 100 Back and 200 IM, setting TAPPS State and CCS school records in both events.

MS Girls Basketball

Cypress Christian School Middle School Girls Basketball teams finished their seasons with wins at the district tournament at Rosehill on January 26.

MS Boys Basketball A Team

The middle school boys A team basketball season came to an end Saturday, January 26 at the HAPS Conference postseason tournament with a loss to Woodlands Christian Academy.

Swimmers Advance to State Meet

CCS took 11 swimmers to the TAPPS regional meet and will be sending four relay teams and two individual swimmers on to the TAPPS State Swim Meet on February 9.

Soccer Senior Night

On Monday, nineteen seniors from the boys and girls high school soccer teams took the field for the last time and each of them was honored at a special Senior Night Ceremony.

MS Boys Soccer Brings Home Trophy

The CCS MS Boys soccer team played in the River Oaks Baptist School 7th Grade Tournament last week on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. 

Lady Warrior Soccer

The CCS Lady Warrior soccer team is approaching the end of the regular season and both the varsity and junior varsity teams are playing some of the best soccer of the season.

Warriors Collect All-State Honors

TAPPS released its All-State teams and the Warriors landed eight players on the Academic All-State team and two more players on the Athletic All-State team. To become a member of the Academic All-State team, a player must be first or second team all-district and maintain an A average.

Varsity Boys Take Third in Warrior Tournament

CCS hosted a great varsity tournament last weekend. There were a total of 16 teams competing in the tournament from 13 different schools in the southwest part of Texas. Teams played daily with some great competition.

Varsity Girls Soccer Show Their Toughness in Tournament

The varsity girls soccer team traveled to All Saints Episcopal School in Fort Worth last weekend for a tournament. The Lady Warriors were prepared for the soccer competition, but nothing could prepare them for the terrible weather conditions the team faced.

Lady Warriors JV Team Wins Tournament

The Lady Warriors JV basketball team took home the first place trophy in our own CCS JV Girls and Boys Warrior Tournament last weekend.

Meet Hall of Fame Coach Van Chancellor at First District Basketball Game

We are excited to invite the entire CCS family to a special night this Tuesday, December 4 in the East Gym. The first high school district basketball games will be played and we have the honor of having Coach Van Chancellor, a legend in women’s basketball coaching, with us.

Football All-District Honors

The Warriors completed a record-breaking season in Division II football. In total the Warriors had 13 players make the All-District team.

Come-From-Behind Victory Launches the Warriors into Regional Championship Game

In the closing seconds for the second straight week, the Warriors pulled out an improbable victory. Coach Spenn passed on an easy field goal with seven seconds to play as the Warriors trailed 17-14. Drue Hirth threw a strike to Joseph Carbone in the back of the end zone to give the Warriors the 21-17 victory, the same score that propelled them into the playoffs the week before. 

Senior JT Mounce Signs with Oklahoma State University

On Wednesday, November 14, Cypress Christian School hosted a special National Letter of Intent signing ceremony to honor current senior, JT Mounce and his commitment to play baseball at Oklahoma State University.

Late Surge Puts Warriors Over the Top

The Warriors completed the regular season in dramatic fashion on Friday night. High school football games are 48 minutes long and the Warriors used every minute in this game.
