The Houston Chronicle published an article on August 12, 2019, naming Cypress Christian School #11 in Houston for athletes for all high schools, public and private.
Cross Country athletes have been hard at work and are running over 30 miles per week.
Friday night, the Warriors showed great improvement over their performance in the season opener the week before. Despite that improvement, the team suffered a hard-fought loss to Houston Christian, 10-7.
The middle school football teams are off to a great start! Both teams started the season with victories in each of the first two weeks of play.
It was a tough night in the season opener for the Warriors who could simply not get anything going against Austin Regents.

On Thursday, May 23, 2019, the Cypress Christian School Athletics Department hosted an awards night in the East Gym.
The high school track & field team celebrated the season on Monday night and awards were presented.
High school track & field had an incredible season with the boys team winning three invitational meets and placing second in the district meet. The girls team won one invitational meet and placed second in four meets and then went second in the district meet, third in the South Regional meet, and fifth place in the State 5A meet. The Lady Warriors were the highest scoring team from our district in the regional and state meets and only one point away from being recognized as the top four in TAPPS 5A State.
The Cypress Christian Warriors varsity baseball team finished district play in April and they won six of their last eight games to secure a second place finish in TAPPS Division II, District 6.
The CCS high school track & field team had a great day at the Regional Track & Field Meet on Thursday, April 25, in Bastrop, Texas. There were 27 athletes who competed that day. The girls team ended up bringing home the third-place team plaque, just 4.5 points shy of regional runner-up.
Congratulations to Elizabeth Richardson who represented CCS at the TAPPS regional golf tournament at Victoria Country Club on Tuesday, April 23.
The Girls and Boys Track & Field teams each won second place in the TAPPS 5A-7 District track meet on April 10-11. Twenty-seven athletes qualified for the Regional meet to be held in Bastrop, on Thursday, April 25. The Warriors will be competing in 28 individual events and five relays.
The 2019 baseball season for your CCS Warriors has already had its share of thrilling games, with even more to come in the last few weeks of district competition.
