2021 Next Step Breakfast


Cypress Christian School held the annual Next Step Breakfast on Wednesday, April 21, in the CCS East Gym. This event supports our Warrior Fund that provides resources for tuition assistance, academic enhancements, facility improvements, technology upgrades and more. 

The audience was welcomed by Director of Advancement, Larry Kerr, and Board President, Lyle Williams, opened the morning in prayer. Guests were blessed by fourth-grade students playing handbells under the direction of Elementary Music Teacher, Tania Overton. 

This year’s event featured a video of CCS alumna Gabby Kostecki ('20) where she shares the exciting outcome from her K-12 journey at CCS. Guests then heard speakers CCS alumnus Cody Chaffin ('13), Youth Pastor of Cy-Fair Christian Church, and CCS parent Matt Roberson, Senior Pastor of The MET Church, share the impact that partnering with Cypress Christian School has had in the lives of their families.

Coach Kris Hogan spoke to the group about why his family believes firmly in Christian education and is "all in" at CCS. He reminded those in attendance of what a special place CCS is because of the community and culture of our school and how important it is to maintain.

The breakfast included the release of a new "I Am A Warrior" video (see below), highlighting what it means to be a CCS Warrior - Academic Excellence, Biblical Values, Cultural Impact.

Our Executive Director, Dr. Jeff Potts, gave the keynote address where he shared the great things going on on our campus and how the mission of CCS is being realized in the lives of young people.

The event was highly attended and a huge success. Guests commented that they enjoyed the event and were thankful they attended. The school is extremely grateful for the generosity of our donors. Special thank you to alumnus Josh Graber ('06) for provided the beautiful ice sculpture for the event. A great time was had by all!
