Grandparents & Special Friends Day 2019

Grandparents and Special Friends Day was a memorable day for our elementary students, hosted by Elementary Principal, Joy Bezner. Students invited over 600 guests! Grandparents and Special Friends were welcomed with coffee and breakfast and heard about campus improvements over the last 10 years from Advancement Director, Mr. Robert White.
Meanwhile, students finished getting their classrooms ready to show off. Students then hosted their guests in the classrooms where they were able to participate in grade-level activities together and show them work samples. Each student made a special picture frame as a thank you gift for their grandparent or special friend for coming.
After showing off their work, students walked their guests to the East Gym for a chapel service where they led the pledges, recited Scripture and performed songs with singing, puppets and instruments to celebrate God's gift of Grandparents and Special Friends. In addition, CCS senior Beto Vasquez presented a moving testimony about his experience at CCS. The morning concluded with professional photos and refreshments. The students were so excited to have a half day off of school to spend with their beloved guests.
Thank you to everyone who joined our elementary students for a very fun and memorable morning on Friday, February 22, 2019.
