Grandparents & Special Friends Day 2018

The day started at 8 a.m. with a meet and greet in the CCS East Gym where guests were treated to hot coffee and breakfast. At 8:30 a.m., guests joined students in classrooms for special activities planned especially for the day.
After 45 minutes of in-class fun and learning, more than 600 guests gathered together with their student(s) in the gym for a chapel service which included pledges, songs, scripture and special presentations by K-5 students. Elementary Principal Robert White addressed grandparents during the service and praised them for their investment in their grandchildren's lives. He then recognized the grandparents who had traveled the farthest, been married the longest, had the most grandchildren and lived in Texas the longest. In addition, CCS senior Josh Holl presented a moving testimony about his experience at CCS.
Immediately following the chapel service, students and guests were treated to goodies and given an opportunity to have a professional photo taken.
