Senior Davis Carver (at left) is excited to play the character of Charlie Brown in the Fine Arts production of “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown.” Davis is the son of Patti and Darren Carver and has attended Cypress Christian School since the seventh grade. He appeared in this year’s award winning TAPPS One Act Play, “The Diary of Anne Frank,” as Otto Frank ,and who can forget his loveable portrayal of Horton the Elephant in last year’s production of “Seussical.” Davis is a member of the International Thespian Society, the National Honor Society, and plays varsity basketball. He plans to attend California Baptist University where he will major in marketing with a minor in sports analytics. “I have enjoyed learning this show and all the music with other talented performers. I am most looking forward to the fun shirt I get to wear for my costume and putting on a great show for the audience.”
Senior Rachel Salazar (at right) is the daughter of Ralph Salazar. She has attended CCS for seven years and will play Snoopy in this weekend’s production of “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown.” You might remember her from last year’s production of “Seussical” where she belted out the role of the Sour Kangaroo. Rachel is involved in many activities at Cypress Christian including the Ambassador Council, the Warrior Choir and the National Honor Society. She also plays varsity basketball and serves as an athletic trainer. Rachel plans to attend Sam Houston State University where she will major in either biology or kinesiology. “I have enjoyed everything about the process of putting together the musical. Sure, sometimes the rehearsals are hard, but in the end it’s always worth it when the hard work pays off. Seeing the production in its completion is what I’m most looking forward to. It took work for us to get where we are now, a lot of blood, sweat and memorization. The show is going to be amazing!”
