Senior Performs in TMEA Region Choir

November 9, 2017

This weekend, Julia Williams performed with the TMEA Region Choir for her fourth year in a row, earning second chair out of the hundreds of students who auditioned. This choir was a culmination of individual self-disciplined and self-motivated students, who are leaders in their schools. The concert was an incredible opportunity for Julia to sing with amazing choirs and to work with influential music educators, who provided university-level training for the weekend. These educators commented to parents and teachers that this choir was one of the most outstanding groups they have ever conducted or had the privilege to work with.

Julia has two more rounds of auditions before earning a spot in the TMEA Small School All-State Choir in San Antonio in February 2018, where 250 students will be selected out of about 40,000 Texas students who audition for these spots every year.

CCS Director of Performing Arts, Mr. John Nance could not be more proud of Julia, her talent, motivation, self-discipline and her heart for the Lord!
