The Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo Art Contest was held at the NRG Center for the Private/Parochial School District on Monday, January 8. Cypress Christian School artists created amazing work this year against some incredible artwork from other private schools across the Houston area.

Receiving a Gold Medal Award for his “Green Longhorn,” John Macune (9th grade) will have his work displayed at the Hayloft Gallery in the School Art Exhibition during the rodeo. John also received rodeo admission tickets and shuttle passes so that he and his family may view his art. This is quite an honor and hard to achieve. Congratulations to John on all his hard work and winning the Gold Medal for the Private School District in Houston!
