Chemistry Students Celebrate Mole Day

November 16, 2017

Chemistry students celebrated a unit of measurement known as a mole. Mole Day commemorates Avogadro's Number (6.02 x 10^23) which is used to convert between atoms/molecules and grams.

The students had fun creating stuffed moles, naming them, and costuming them appropriately. Among the creations were Chick-Mole-a, Maybe she's born with it, maybe it's Mole-belline, Rock and Mole with David Molie, Hot Choc-Mole-ate, the Rose Mole Parade, a Mole-cano, an Egg Mole, the North Mole and sports greats Mole-chael Phelps, Le-Mole James, and Houston Astros favorites - Mole-tuva and Breg-Mole.
