Varsity girls basketball earned a spot in the TAPPS 4A playoffs for the third straight year.

The theme of the Lady Warriors basketball program for the 2022-2023 season has been Elevate-to rise above and utilize the gifts the Lord has gifted each player and coach in order to work together to be successful.

Coach Tate has been a part of the CCS family for over seven years. She is excited to join us this year as the middle school girls head basketball coach.

On Sunday, May 15, 2022, the Athletic Department of Cypress Christian School hosted a retirement celebration to honor Coach Marsha Martin for 26 years of service to CCS. Members of the administration, athletic department, coaching staff and alumni parents paid tribute to her in front of a packed crowd who came to honor her and thank her for many years of service.

The Lady Warriors finished the basketball season as a part of the Elite Eight in TAPPS 4A, earned second place in TAPPS 4A District 4, were Bi-District Champions, Area Champions and Regional finalists.

The Lady Warriors won the area round of TAPPS 4A basketball playoffs on Tuesday, defeating First Baptist Christian Academy, Pasadena, at Emery Weiner High School.

The Lady Warriors finished the season as district runners-up!

The middle school girls basketball program has had a great season with both teams advancing to the playoffs.

Varsity boys basketball had a phenomenal weekend in the CCS Warrior Classic going 3-0 and earning tournament champs. Nile Austin and Price Schultea were selected for the All-Tournament team.
Before the Christmas break, the Lady Warriors basketball team went shopping together for the children of Mission of Yahweh, a mission organization in Northwest Houston, that they serve each Christmas.
The Lady Warriors basketball program really stepped out this past weekend as the junior varsity girls traveled to Conroe Lifestyle to compete in a varsity-level girls private school basketball tournament.

The boys varsity basketball team has worked so hard to get to where they are.
Lady Warrior Basketball is up and running with two high school teams this year.

CCS has won the 2020-2021 4A Henderson Cup for the first time in school history. The Henderson Cup is awarded to the best overall private school in Texas based on achievement in academics, fine arts and athletics competitions throughout the school year.

Be looking for some exciting basketball in the winter sports season, as the teams continue with clinics, open gyms and basketball team time until October 18 when we officially begin our trip to the playoffs!

The middle school girls basketball teams completed their season last weekend with the girls A and B teams each competing to defend their 2019-2020 championship titles in the HAPS District Championship games vs. Magnolia Legacy Prep at Legacy Prep on Saturday, January 30.
On Tuesday, the varsity boys district home opener versus Northland Christian kept the fans on the edge of their seats the entire game. The Warriors led the Cougars throughout the game until the 4th quarter.

CCS basketball hosted the annual Warrior Classic Tournament January 7-9 with six girls and six boys teams this year. There was good competition and plenty of games for every team to play.

The Lady Warrior Basketball team took time from finals studying and basketball practice to spend some time shopping for Christmas gifts for the children at Mission of Yahweh in northwest Houston.

The CCS middle school girls basketball program partnered with Cypress Assistance Ministries (CAM) to provide 60 stuffed stockings for Cypress-area children this Christmas.

The Lady Warriors varsity basketball team traveled to Tyler, Texas for the All Saints Basketball Bash last weekend and were successful on the court and off.

Congratulations to these high school student-athletes for earning awards this year.

The middle school girls basketball season ended last weekend with both the A & B teams competing in the HAPS District Tournament held at Rosehill Christian where both teams took home the first-place hardware as district champions!

The CCS Warrior Classic Basketball Tournament was a success this past weekend as Cypress Christian played host to seven girls and seven boys varsity basketball teams.

The Lady Warrior Basketball team took a day off from practice on Monday to go shopping for Mission of Yahweh, a mission organization in Northwest Houston, that houses women and children.

The middle school girls basketball season is off to a great start! Both the A & B teams have been working hard in practice and opened the first couple weeks of the season with three straight wins each.

Tryouts begin on Monday, October 14 for winter sports.
The Houston Chronicle published an article on August 12, 2019, naming Cypress Christian School #11 in Houston for athletes for all high schools, public and private.

HS Girls Basketball had a fun season, working hard along the way in a very evenly matched district.

Cypress Christian School Middle School Girls Basketball teams finished their seasons with wins at the district tournament at Rosehill on January 26.

The Lady Warriors JV basketball team took home the first place trophy in our own CCS JV Girls and Boys Warrior Tournament last weekend.
