Warriors Make Waves at Swim Invitational

Cypress Christian hosted a swim meet on Monday, December 6 at the Cy-Fair Natatorium, competing against Bay Area Christian, First Baptist Pasadena, Providence Christian and the British International School.

All of the CCS athletes showed significant improvement from the beginning of the year, and the CCS middle school team took first place in the meet. Top three finishers included: Lexi Stamos (First – 50 Free, Second – 100 Free), Madeline Boctor (Second – 50 Free), Kayla Geyer (Third – 50 Free), Guy Stamos (First – 50 Fly, First – 50 Back) and Peyton Whitmarsh (First – 100 IM, First – 50 Breaststroke). Peyton Whitmarsh’s times in the 100 IM and 50 Breaststroke set new middle school records.

High school top three included Camryn Whitmarsh (First – 50 Free, Second – 100 Free) and Katie Schmitt (Third – 50 Free).

The Warrior middle school team is participating in the Holiday Relay Meet today at the University of Houston. Go Warriors!!

This week in chapel, middle and high school students had the unique opportunity to hear the amazing story of Mr. Al Jowdy. Mr. Jowdy was born in San Antonio in 1927.
The Warrior Swim Team competed in the TAPPS State Swim Meet on Wednesday, February 14, in San Antonio. The Warriors were represented by 16 athletes and competed in four relay events and six individual events.
Cypress Christian School took a total of 41 soloists to competition, middle school and high school combined, 30 of which were first-time soloists at TAPPS Solo and Ensemble. Of these singers, the following students received a I-Superior Rating (highest possible)
