2018-2019 National Art Honor Society

The CCS National Art Honor Society had their second meeting on Friday, October 26 during lunch in the art room to discuss upcoming projects and events.

Warrior Drumline Competes in TAPPS Competition

The drumline put on their best performances of the year and received the loudest applause from the crowd at Midland Stadium. The final results placed the Warrior Drumline at third in Tier 1.

Drama Students Win Awards for District One Act Play

On Tuesday, October 23, Cypress Christian School drama students competed in the Division I TAPPS One Act Play competition. Performing Booby Trap by Ed Monk, they received 3rd place in district , placing them above other talented productions.

Warrior Choir Performs

The CCS Warrior Chorale sang a sacred concert on Sunday, May 6, for the Southwinds Baptist Church. The performance included one of their favorites "Shut de Do," a standard in their repertoire "Festival Gloria" and a new edition to their repertoire for this year, the amazing arrangement of Ken Medema’s "Moses."

Last Week of School for the Class of 2018

The senior class was celebrated this week during their final week of classes. Senior Special Assembly will be held on Friday, May 4 at 2:30 p.m. where we will honor and pray over the Class of 2018 before sending them off to become CCS Alumni.

TAPPS State Art Competition 2018

TAPPS state art competition was held at the Waco Convention Center on Monday, April 9 and Tuesday, April 10 for all divisions (1A-6A) in the state of Texas. In the 4A division, 23 schools competed with 488 entries in 19 different categories of art. Our CCS artists did well, receiving seven medals overall. Great job at state, as it was the first time for many of these artists!

MS Drama Performs Musical "Unselfie"

The middle school Performing Arts class presented a musical called Unselfie, about being unselfish in a self-absorbed, social media world.

2018 Secondary ACSI Art Competition

On Friday, April 6, Cypress Christian School artists competed in a regional art competition hosted by Faith Academy in Bellville, Texas. Grades 7-12 had 24 entries among 18 schools that participated in ten or more different categories of art.

2018 Elementary ACSI Art Festival

On Friday, April 6, 18 schools came together to participate in the annual ACSI Art Festival, held at Faith Academy in Bellville, Texas. Fifteen Cypress Christian elementary students, whose artwork was chosen, were outstanding representatives of our school.

2018 Middle School Speech Meet

The ACSI District Middle School Speech Meet took place on March 9, at Rosehill Christian School. Several students, in each grade, participated in events like puppets, readings, monologues, Bible memorization and poetry. Congratulations to all of our participants! We had several Gold, Silver and Bronze medal winners.

Seven Brides for Seven Brothers Delights Audiences

The Cypress Christian School Performing Arts Department treated audiences to the amazing production of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers on March 6-8, 2018. This fantastic show had it all with conflict, fun, love and lots of backwoods humor. 

National Art Honor Society Visits Museum of Fine Arts Houston

National Art Honor Society had a field trip to the Museum of Fine Arts Houston. The NAHS students took a journey through the ages of history in art from the museum’s permanent collection, which covers world cultures dating from antiquity to the present.

Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo Art Contest Winners - Elementary

On January 8, Cypress Christian School Elementary students participated in the 2017-2018 Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo Art Competition for Private and Christian Schools. Forty-five schools were represented this year. Ten students earned awards.

Elementary ACSI Art Festival 2017

CCS submitted 15 pieces of artwork in the competition from students in grades 3-5. Congratulations to student artists for their hard work and for representing CCS well at the festival.
