Seven Brides for Seven Brothers
Seven Brides for Seven Brothers takes us back to the Oregon logging towns of the late 1800’s. Women were scarce because times were hard and men were rough. Life was tough in lumber country. Education was found either in nature, as God intended, or back east where schools were located. When Adam Pontipee decides “it’s time to get a wife,” the town does not like his approach to common sense and neither does the wife he masterfully woos to take back to the farm. Adam’s six brothers are trainable though, and Milly whips them into courtin’ shape, but at a cost of one fight after another. Milly has broken scriptural ground to socially prepare the brothers to see women in a godly way, then a baby arrives at the Pontipee house.
By the time the brothers get their 'wives-to-be’ back to the farm by way of kidnapping, an avalanche prevents their rescue by the town’s fathers and the girl’s suitors. When the mountain pass opens from the spring thaw, the story takes a turn for the...well, you have to come see how it all plays out.
