Celebrating Warrior Weddings & Little Warriors!

Christina Mandujano Threlkeld (’14) graduated from the University of Houston in 2018, earning a degree in advertising, and in October 2019, she married her high school sweetheart, Cameron Threlkeld. The couple spent the fall traveling to Europe and exploring London, England and Copenhagen, Denmark. They now live in Austin, TX, where Cameron works for a major tech company, and Christina serves as the Marketing and Communications Coordinator for the National Infusion Center Association, a patient advocacy non-profit benefiting those with rare and chronic illnesses.

They have a 10-month-old springer spaniel puppy who loves to swim and run around at all of the Austin dog parks. In 2020, they hope to move to a new house with a backyard for their pup and travel back to Europe to see more Scandinavian countries.

Congratulations to Christina and Cameron!  We are thankful for Christina’s dedication to addressing patient challenges and ensuring they have access to needed resources.

Amber Dingman Kirk (’16) is studying bilingual education, and is a student teacher in Pflugerville this semester before she graduates from the University of Texas at Austin in May. Her husband, Koby, is an Airman First Class in the Air Force, and is also a crime analyst for the Department of Public Safety.

Amber and Koby were married on January 4, 2020, by Jacob Sensenig, Director of the Baylor Worship Lab, a summer worship camp for high school worship leaders where Amber and Koby met in the summer of 2016. They began dating in 2018 and when they got engaged, Koby led Amber on a scavenger hunt and the final destination was the steps of Miller Chapel at Baylor where they first met.

Their director, Jacob, posted the following Facebook message on their wedding day: “Two of my greatest joys in ministry have been getting to mentor young worship leaders through the annual “Worship Lab” event hosted by the Baylor Center for Christian Music Studies and the other has been being asked to officiate weddings. Today these joys collided as Koby Kirk and Amber Dingman tied the knot. My wife and I were grateful to be a small part of their journey together, and I can’t wait to see how God uses their marriage to further the Kingdom!”

Katie Moore Kesting ('14): On April 11, 2020, about a month earlier than their initial wedding date, UT alumna Katie Moore walked down the aisle, phone in hand, so her dad could “give her away” to Tim Kesting via FaceTime. With family across the country and courts rapidly closing, Katie said she submitted their marriage license application on March 25, as their backup plan. “It’s obviously not plan A, B or C,” Tim said. “Yeah it was plan Q,” said Katie. With just six people present at a Grace Church campus in South Carolina, it was an intimate ceremony. While it was not what they originally planned or imagined, the two are grateful to be together during this time and are looking forward to celebrating with their families and friends at a later date. The two are living and working as engineers for 3M in Greenville, SC. Katie has a B.S. in chemical engineering from The University of Texas at Austin, and Tim has a B.S. in mechanical engineering from Iowa State. The two are very excited to be new members at Grace Church and are looking forward to continue building community in their new home.
