Polynomial Perspective Project

Polynomials are everywhere! Using a picture of themselves, honors precalculus students identified a portion of the picture to construct and overlay a polynomial function of fourth-degree or higher. They demonstrated the polynomial relationship in Desmos, an advanced graphing calculator implemented as a web application, using the photograph as the background of the graph.
