Launching Rockets

The engineering classes were given a worksheet with details about specific model rockets and engines. Formulas were given to help identify the projected height the model rocket would go. The classes then ordered specific model rockets and engines that they desired to see launched. The class spent several days building the model rockets following step-by-step instructions. After the model rockets were assembled, the class had the opportunity to launch the rockets. The students experienced on-site troubleshooting and success. The day was filled with fun and excitement as they watched their hands-on assembled model rockets and paper calculations come to life.
