On Monday, the seniors celebrated our annual “Cake Day,” with a special homemade "secret recipe" cake made with love by Academic Advisor, Becky Fredrickson. Seniors officially accepted their college acceptances as they complete their last week of classes at CCS. We know they will go on to do great things!
The 2017-2018 Drumline also assembled on Monday for one last celebratory gathering to send off the seniors, have lunch and reminisce about another award-winning year! They honored Dr. Witschonke for his leadership and presented him with a framed picture from the TAPPS competition last month in San Antonio.
On Wednesday, senior accomplishments and memories were celebrated at the senior class picnic. Students were encouraged to show off their future plans and college acceptances by wearing the colors of their respective colleges. The seniors were blessed by the secondary faculty and staff, who provided a meal for them and enjoyed spending time in fellowship with them during their finals days on campus as the Class of 2018, wishing them the best in their future endeavors.
Finally, tomorrow is the Senior Special Assembly where we will be honoring and praying over our seniors before sending them off to become CCS Alumni. Senior parents are invited to join us at 2:30 p.m. in the East Gym for the celebration and senior slide show. A small reception for the Class of 2018 and their parents will be held after final dismissal of our seniors.
