Drumline Celebrates a Great Season

With the winter sports season coming to a close, the Warrior Drumline took time to celebrate a great season as well. The drumline enjoyed entertaining the crowd at football games and participating in the TAPPS State Drumline Competition. Click here to view the performance. This year featured learning several new cadences and new performances. For the first time, the Warrior Drumline participated in the "Drum Along The Brazos' competition held in November at College Station High School. The drumline placed third in their division and won "Best Cymbal Line." Additionally, the Warrior Drumline began regular participation at home basketball games for both the girls and boys teams.

During the season celebration this week, Dr. Witschonke took a moment to recognize three seniors who have performed for the last time with drumline. The creativity and leadership of Sam Beckmeier, Colby Brennan and Travis Poncho will be missed next year. The challenge for next year’s drumline will be, "Who can play cadences upside down as Colby did several times this year?"

The planning for the 2019-2020 Warrior Drumline is already underway. More information will be coming shortly after Spring Break.
