CCS Fall Fine Arts Festival

CCS Fall Fine Arts Festival

On Friday, October 4, Fine Arts students from CCS art, choir and theatre programs put together a production that glorified God and the talents that He has given our students.

Art students put together an art gallery under the instruction and guidance of our extremely talented art teacher, Mrs. Beth Brubaker. Students showcased their work involving nature, human form and expressionism. As always there was something for everyone to enjoy and marvel.

The performances for the evening began with doors opening to the art gallery, and as the evening continued, patrons were wowed by two different class performances of These Shining Lives by Melanie Marnich. The students in Introduction to Theatre and Advanced Theatre performed a tragic tale of a true story involving the women workers in the radium watch dial factories of the 1920s and 1930s and what they went through to seek justice for themselves and for all workers since. In addition to the theatre performances, the audience was entertained by show-stopping performances by the CCS Chamber Choir, high school praise team and middle school praise team. Students charmed audiences with performances of songs like “Oh Happy Day!” with soloist Asha Boyce, “Your Grace is Enough,” “O Come to the Altar” and many more. The arts at CCS are alive and thriving for Christ. The Fall Fine Arts Festival was an unforgettable evening!
