Adopt-a-Pet Reading Buddies

To encourage summer reading, first-grade students got to adopt a “pet” for their summer reading buddy. The students learned how they can practice reading to their animals at home, even their stuffed animals! The students got to pick their stuffed animal (puppy or kitten), give them a name, fill out their adoption certificate and take a picture. Our first graders are excited to keep reading over the summer!!! A huge thank you to our room moms for helping make this a success!
