HS Commencement Ceremony May 25
On May 25, at 7pm, CCS seniors will cross the stage at Cypress Bible Church to receive their diplomas. A reception for graduates, families, and friends will be held following the ceremony.

Middle School Sword and Shield Awards
Middle school athletes were recognized and honored for exemplifying excellence in athletics, leadership, determination, sportsmanship, Christian character, academic achievement, and integrity.

Eighth graders receive compliments from WWII veterans while visiting Arlington National Cemetery.

CODE BLUE
Under the direction of middle school science teacher, Mrs. Jean Hinn, the seventh grade Life Science class completed their annual "CODE BLUE" project using Psalm 139:14-16 as their Biblical basis.

State Track Meet Results
The Track and Field team participated at the state track meet with Evan Doremus claiming the State Champion title in Boys' High Jump.

MS Musical Theater Performed Malice in the Palace
Directors David Horn and Dia Moore said, “We are privileged to work with such a talented and enthusiastic group of students."

Dinner Theater Receives Rave Reviews
Dinner theater guests gave the "Death by Dessert" performance by hs school drama students and the delicious food prepared by Mrs. Tallackson rave reviews.

Varsity Baseball Season Recap
Varsity baseball finished tied for third in the toughest district in TAPPS - District 7-3A. Our team showed great character and heart all year, and gave God the glory for being able to play the great game of baseball.

Senior basketball player Evan Doremus has committed to play next year for the NCAA Division II St. Edwards University Hilltoppers in Austin, TX.

Mitchell is TAPPS State Golf Champion
Senior golfer Ben Mitchell shot a 78 the first day and brought home a championship on the second day under very windy conditions.

Frisbee Dog Competition at CCS
On May 12 CCS will host a Frisbee dog competition in the football stadium which is sure to be a great time for the whole family.

Chamber Choir Tied for Top Performing Choir in State
The Chamber Choir, Soloist Dana Mickey, and Pianist Madison Clark received Superior Ratings at the TAPPS State competition. Everyone is invited to Choir Concert on May 10.

New teams and a larger District await the 2012 Warriors as they look to win a 4th straight district title and return to the playoffs for the 5th consecutive year.

Warrior Track and Field Prepares for District Meet
Standouts from the meet include a second place finish in the 100 M Hurdles by Shannen Longridge, a second place finish by the girls 4 x 100 M Relay Team, and second place finishes in both the 110 M and 300 M Hurdles by Matt Bancroft.

Mitchell and Hurst Advance to State Golf Tournament
Ben Mitchell won the regional tournament by shooting a 72 and David Hurst shot a personal best 87.

The Texas Relays is one of the largest Track and Field meets in the country, with both college and high school athletes competing.

The Chamber Choir received a Gold rating and an invitation to the Festival in Gold in either Los Angeles, Chicago, or New York City's Carnegie Hall.

Helpful Hints for Successful Achievement Testing Experience
Yearly achievement testing for K-8 students is scheduled for March 26-30. Middle school testing will begin promptly at 8:00 am and elementary testing will begin at 8:30 am.

Under the direction of Choir Director David Horn and Drama Teacher Dia Moore, sixth graders performed the musical rendition of the complete history of the Old Testament.

Cypress Places 3rd at Warrior Relays
CCS hosted 19 schools on a wet and rainy Thursday evening and placed 3rd overall in both the girls’ and boys’ divisions. Up next for the Warrior Track & Field team is the Houston Christian Relays on Saturday, March 24th.

Dinner on the Diamond guests enjoyed the special appearance of Houston Astros Mascot Junction Jack, great food, and fellowship while raising money for the baseball program.

Director Bridget Hughes was awarded national recognition for her work as a therapist, for providing excellence in service and leadership in the NILD organization, and for inspiring and helping other NILD educational therapists.
