Warriors Dominate First Two District Soccer Games

The Warriors showed they were ready for battle on the soccer field Thursday and Friday nights. Cypress Christian dominated both games with impressive play by all members on the team. Outstanding goals during the O’Connell game were a header by Hunter Vick who headed the ball over and past the keeper to score, and Austin Barton who scored on a direct kick 50 yards away from the opponent’s goal. The Briarwood game was a repeat performance by the warriors as they dominated the field with Jake Borkovich scoring in the first 30 seconds of the game. The final scores of the week were: Warriors 10-Galveston O’Connell 0; and Warriors 11-Briarwood 0. The Warriors' next game is January 3, 2012 where they plan to continue their success as a team.
