Voices United for God

September 5, 2012

CCS Concert Choir is off to a roaring start! This newly formed group is making strides and turning heads. In addition to its size increasing to 32 members, the CCS Concert Choir boasts several skilled musicians making waves in athletics, cheerleading, and leading in weekly chapel.

This fine-sounding group has already made an appearance at the Varsity Football Game Home Opener with a stirring rendition of our National Anthem that echoed across the field. These CCS Warriors showed their patriotism and love for God to a near-full stadium under the direction of Mr. David Horn.

The Concert Choir plans to make this year a ministry unto God by taking their love for singing to many places. They will sing at football games and for our esteemed elders at both Ainsley Courte and The Forum at Memorial Woods. The choir will also honor our veterans on November 9 at the annual Veteran’s Day Assembly. On October 5, they will represent the school at the Annual Banquet. But the music does not end there...our new CCS Madrigal Ensemble will take their ministry to the Texas Renaissance Festival, and it is our hope to take our sound to the radio waves via Christian Radio Station KSBJ!

With that in mind, CCS Choir needs your support in any way possible – from time to talents. Please contact Mr. Horn at David.Horn@CypressChristian.org to become part of something very special – voices united for God!
