Teamwork
September 12, 2012
The mighty Lady Warriors faced off against The Woodlands Christian Academy Tuesday, September 11, 2012 with two (wo)men down. This stretched the team to its barest point with only 12 athletes between two teams. When it looked as if the number would hit three (wo)men down, we started to recruit players for the JV match. Varsity Team Manager, Victoria England, and freshman softball player, Mimi Fredrickson, stepped up to the court and did a fantastic job of helping JV in their victory against the TWCA Warriors. Freshman JV players, Sam Longridge and Jordan Hayley, came in strong to start Varsity and help the team in their victory against the Varsity TWCA Warriors. Senior Shannen Longridge led the team with 10 kills and 18 digs, and Freshman Elyssa Ray followed close behind with 8 kills and 10 digs. Junior Olivia Roberts also had a great game with 6 kills and 4 digs. Our Lady Warriors are going strong in spite of multiple injuries and illness. A big thanks to Katie Moore who cheered the team on and helped Manager Victoria England with stats from the sidelines.
