Biblical Concepts of Reality, Origin, Identity, Ethics, Purpose, and Death
Secondary students started off 2012 by being challenged by the AXIS conference held during our Spiritual Emphasis week. AXIS challenged us in our understanding of our Biblical Worldview. As a continuation of the conference, art students created conceptual art sculptures that represented different elements of a Biblical worldview. Most of the sculptures were made from "found objects." Their sculptures are on display in the foyer of the multi-use facility. Look for these Biblical concepts of reality, origin, identity, ethics, purpose, and death.
Spring Competition
Currently, students are preparing for spring contest with TAPPS and the Pearl Fincher Museum Art Contest. Our District TAPPS Meet will be held on March 3rd. Watch for contest outcomes.
Senior Accepted to Art School
Congratulations to Samantha Tidwell on her acceptance to Savannah College of Art and Design!
Special Note from Art Teacher Michele Bennett
"I have really enjoyed our students this year. They are so much fun to work with, and they are so very talented. I love seeing them develop new skills. Youu haven't seen anything yet until you have seen a whole class of young men and women trying to learn to macrame!"
