Library Birthday Book Club
February 9, 2012
Even though several birthdays have passed while at CCS, Matthew and Sarah Hawkins (shown in picture) have left a legacy in the CCS Elementary Library through their Birthday Book Donations. Throughout the years, they have regularly participated in our “Birthday Book” program. For a donation of $10.00, students may select a book from a designated shelf for their Birthday Book. Inside the front cover, a nameplate will be placed with their name, date of birth, and the year of the donation. It is a nice way to help build the library book collection, and leave a remembrance for the elementary years. Many other families have participated in this program, donating books for other family members, teachers, and friends. Even Mrs. Beam, one of our Kindergarten teachers, donated a book in honor of “Happy” the kindergarten puppet! Please stop by the library and browse through the Birthday Book shelf. It’s very rewarding to pull a book out from the shelf and see your nameplate from previous years!
