Lady Warriors MS A Team bring home Third Place Honors

The MS team learned the meaning of intensity this past weekend.

Both ms teams traveled to Faith West this past weekend for the Eagle tournament.  It was a tough tournament with the B team having to face A teams but the games were good for them.  The A team moved into the winners bracket on Saturday and had a tough loss against Ft. Bend Christian who went on to win the entire tournament.  The Lady Warriors moved on to the third place game against Conroe Covenant, who they had already faced two weeks earlier in district play and had lost by 8 points.  A few things happened that afternoon as Coach Tyler Martin talked with the girls, and they learned to turn their frustrations and intimidations into good intensity on the court.  That afternoon they stepped out on the court and were a new team.  They put on a great show with a tremendous press, and at halftime the score was Cypress 20 and Covenant 4.  The Lady Warriors continued their great efforts and won the game giving them third place honors in the tournament.

Jordan Hayley scored 24 points in the game and Vynna Chitolie added 10 more to help the team move on to a victory.

We are proud of both MS teams as we see them improve every practice and game.  Keep it up Lady Warriors!
