Junior Pep Squad Cheers at Varsity Game
October 29, 2011
Middle school and high school cheerleaders recently hosted a three day cheer clinic for girls in kindergarten through 6th grades. The girls learned motions, jumps, and cheer technique. They also had fun learning silly cheers like "Hey Burrito," which was quite a hit!
Head Cheer Coach Natalie Kirtley enjoyed seeing the older girls train and mentor the younger ones..."Each day the eyes of the junior pep squad members would light up when they saw the middle school and high school cheerleaders walk in the room. It was a joy to see the two groups work together. What a great example of the K-12 unity we enjoy on our campus!"
On October 21, the junior pep squad members showed off their skills on the field at the varsity football game. It was a great night for our Cypress cheerleaders - big and small.
