Computer Science Competition

October 12, 2011

Saturday October 8, was the beginning of the CCS computer science competition season. CCS sent two teams to the competition held at Seven Lakes High School - the Novice Division Team (Freshmen Joel Rawson and Todd Akin, Sophomore Mark Slattery) and the Advanced Team (Senior Andrew Neyland and Evan McClintock). At these competitions, the teams begin the day taking a written test, and then spend the next two hours writing Java code. Both teams had a great start to the season and gained valuable knowledge and experience.  Mr. Kooiman, computer science teacher, commented, "I anticipate a great showing from our CCS programmers at future competitions."
